Tony Award-winning choreographer Bill T. Jones’ ambitious new dance-theater work commissioned by Chicago’s Ravinia Festival challenges and celebrates the legacy of Abraham Lincoln. Taken from Lincoln’s second inaugural address, investigates a handful of key moments from his remarkable life, allowing song and memory to transport the audience to an emotional and intellectual place beyond the boundaries of space and time. In celebration of the Company’s 25th anniversary and the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln’s birth, Jones will “lead with his own heart” in this highly personal rumination on the life and legacy of a great American president.
